My name is Maria Jose "Homes by MJ" and I'm a professional local real estate agent in Brentwood, California with EXP Realty. I serve all of Contra Costa, Solano and San Joaquin Counties. I was born and raised in Nicaragua where I learned the meaning of hard work, dedication and customer service and sí, hablo español. I've always loved working with people so in college I decided to study tourist management so I could interact with tourist from all over the world and show them my beautiful country. After college my dad talked me into working for him so even though I thought I had greater plans I ended up working for my dad managing his international insurance company. I can say that I honestly loved that job, I got to interact with people from all over the world and spend time with my parents every day. That all changed when I met my husband and he convinced me to leave my country and move to the United States. 

After starting a family, I knew it was time for me to get back to work and becoming a Brentwood real estate agent was no brainer. Yeah, it's super competitive but I love helping people find their first, second, tenth or forever home which is why I've focused on being your local real estate buyer’s agent. I've also had the chance to work with and learn from some of the best real estate agents in the Bay Area. I also love my community here in Brentwood, the people here are awesome and Brentwood real estate is beautiful.
